How do you plan a flight or patient transfer anywhere in the world?
MEKJET considers private jet and patient-transfer enquiries within Turkey, from Turkey, to Turkey and between other countries without a stop in Turkey. Share the departure and destination countries and cities, together with your preferred local time. Your journey does not have to start in Istanbul.
Which routes can you enquire about?
Which routes can you enquire about?| Example itinerary | What to clarify |
|---|
| London–Dubai | Airport preferences, local departure time, cabin and baggage requirements. |
|---|
| Berlin–Antalya | One-way or return schedule and onward ground transport. |
|---|
| Nairobi–Paris | The full itinerary, airport access and required operational permissions. |
|---|
These examples show how to prepare an enquiry. They are not scheduled services, completed case studies or promises of aircraft availability. Aircraft, crew, airport, airspace and permit requirements are checked for each request.
What should be the same when I compare quotations?
Compare the same departure and arrival points, date and local time, passenger or companion numbers, baggage and ground transfers. Ask for the operator, proposed aircraft, any medical team and equipment, positioning, waiting time, taxes, and change and cancellation terms in writing. An hourly rate alone does not show the cost of the complete journey.
How is a hospital-to-hospital patient transfer agreed?
MEKJET coordinates the flight and transfer connections included in the proposal. Information from the treating team, the transport assessment, acceptance by the receiving hospital, both ground ambulances and handover responsibilities must be confirmed separately. The operator is responsible for flying the aircraft; healthcare professionals make individual medical decisions. A flight-only price does not establish that hospital-to-hospital transport is included.
What happens if a multi-leg itinerary or travel date changes?
Provide the country and city, date and local time, passenger and baggage details, and waiting requirements for each leg. A change may require another check of aircraft and crew availability, crew duty time, airport conditions, permits and ground connections. Ask for the revised schedule and any price difference in writing.
Guides to help prepare your enquiry
Flight planning for Turkey and international routes
MEK JET coordinates private-flight and medical patient-transfer requests around the route, timing and required service scope. For business travel, leisure journeys and patient transport, the starting point is to clarify the support needed throughout the journey. Aircraft category, passengers, baggage, airport connections and required approvals are considered together.
Choose the service that fits your request
Request, proposal and preparation
- Share departure and destination locations, preferred dates and passenger details.
- Ask for assessment of a suitable flight or patient-transfer method.
- Compare the written service scope, total cost, payment and change conditions.
- Confirm terminals, ground connections, documents and handover points.
In patient transport, medical assessment, flight coordination and receiving arrangements have distinct roles. Our medical team and operations guide explains how they are coordinated. The transfer-method comparison helps you prepare questions about your request.
Pricing and document guides
Each proposal reflects the route, availability, aircraft, team and additional services. Read our air ambulance cost guide and private jet pricing guide to understand which items can affect the total. These guides do not promise fixed rates or availability.
Use the medical transport document guide and commercial-flight stretcher guide to prepare your questions. Ask for the appropriate document-delivery process instead of attaching medical records to a general marketing form.
Frequently asked questions about flights and patient transport
How does an air ambulance differ from a commercial-flight patient transfer?
A dedicated air ambulance combines flight planning with the patient’s medical support needs. A commercial-flight transfer uses airline seats, an approved stretcher arrangement or medical escort, subject to airline acceptance. Suitability depends on the patient, route and medical assessment.
When can medical escort services be considered?
Medical escort can be considered when a traveller requires clinical accompaniment during a flight. Team roles, equipment and transfer scope are planned for the individual request. General website information does not establish whether a patient is fit to fly.
What information is needed for a private jet quotation?
Provide departure and destination cities, dates and preferred local times, passenger count, baggage and additional service requirements. A tailored written proposal follows aircraft selection and availability checks.
Are ground ambulances included in a medical transfer?
Confirm the departure and destination ground ambulances and hospital handover in the written proposal. A flight-only quotation does not automatically include hospital-to-hospital transport.
Which documents are needed for patient transport?
Medical reports, relevant fitness-to-fly documentation, identity and travel documents and receiving contacts may be required. The final list depends on the route, airline and transfer method. Ask the coordinator how sensitive documents should be delivered before sending them.
When is the departure time confirmed?
Departure is confirmed after aircraft and team availability, medical planning, airport conditions and necessary approvals have been checked. An urgent request does not guarantee a specific departure time before those checks.
